When an international gang of ex-capitalists and fascos hatches the plan to set off a Zamboni cataclysm, meaning the melting of Antarctica and the Arctic glaciers, it finally sways some village assemblies to convicting a few of them to the death penalty. Yet our comrade-revolutionaries notice that their problems with capital punishment have only just begun. Throwing ex-oligarchs into a volcano might be a good deterrent, but is it really proportionate to their crimes? The road to Mount Aetna turns out to be very long indeed. The ex-capitalists and the fascos role in these and other crimes must be proven, they must be given the chance to repent, and yet the sincerity of their remorse must be checked as well. The stories by foreign comrades on how their oligarchs were dealt with in their regions are helpful, but while some of them may serve as examples, others will have to be rejected outright or at least shelved as either too lenient or too cruel and unusual. Do humans make their own history, or will the world revolution of 2021 (Year Zero) drift with the inherited capitalist circumstances like the revolutions before it? Will the revolution retain its human face in the midst of adversity?
